How do I apply for licensure as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine?

      If you are unable to download the application, please call or email the board and request an application be sent to your mailing address. The board employs their staff as independent contractors, the office is not routinely staffed for walk-in traffic or personally answered phone calls. When you call the board you will receive a voice mail message. Please leave a message and the Executive Director will return your call. If you need to make an appointment with the Executive Director of the Oriental Board please phone or email.

        How long will it take for my application to be approved for licensure by the Board?

        Your application must be received six months prior to the next examination date. During this time your application will be reviewed by the Board at a regularly scheduled Board meeting. The approval process will be dependent upon a complete application and if the applicant complies with the Oriental Board’s licensure requirements. Please refer to the Board’s Calendar for meeting and examination dates, and to our regulations for the Board’s licensure requirements.

          How many licenses have been issued by the Board?

          If I have a complaint concerning the practice of a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, how would I file it with the Board?

          The Board accepts any written, signed complaint. Please tell in your own words, in four paragraphs Who, What, When, and Why/How. You must name the involved parties and the circumstances of the complaint. You must sign the letter and be willing to participate in a Board investigation. Please mail this complaint to the Board at the address above.

            It then will be forwarded to our Deputy Attorney General and the Board members for further review and investigation.

              Where and when are the Board's meeting?

              The Board meets in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Grant Sawyer State Building 555 E. Washington Ave. Las Vegas, NV. 89109 or at any place designated by the Board. Meetings are held two to four times each year.
